Daniel Van Aken, 28, faces a felony charge after being arrested for allegedly shooting and killing his dog, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. According to the sheriff’s office Van Aken used a shotgun to shoot his dog, leading to the dog’s death. He was reportedly charged with aggravated cruelty to animals and released on an appearance ticket pending proceedings in Providence Town Court.
