September 2026 – Makayla M. Gilman-Lavoie (20) was arrested after police say a six-month-old pit bull puppy was allegedly found significantly underweight and suffering from symptoms that required medical treatment. She was charged her with Failure to Provide Proper Sustenance under Section 353 of the New York State Agriculture and Markets Law.
