August 2025 – Donna Truesdale faces 41 counts of neglect after authorities found 41 dogs and 11 cats in deplorable conditions. Truesdale is also facing charges of torturing or injuring animals and failure to provide sustenance, the SPCA said. She pleaded not guilty and will appear in court in early September. According to the SPCA, dogs had missing jaws, severe skin and ear infections, dental disease, missing teeth, heart murmurs, mammary masses, matted hair, hair loss, lesions on their paw pads, ulcerations on their scrotums, flea infestations and more, most of which were from poor living conditions.
April 2025 – Donna Truesdale was charged with a probation violation, obstruction of governmental administration, and 27 counts of unlawfully possessing an animal by an animal abuser and one count of failing to register as an animal abuser. Investigators say they found 27 dogs in her possession with violated the Cattaraugus County Animal Abuser Registry law. Truesdale was barred from having animals following a previous animal abuse conviction. She was arraigned in court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail.
February 2024 – Donna L. Truesdale, 44, was arrested following a warrant from the Town of New Albion. Truesdale underwent arraignment at the Town of New Albion Court and was subsequently remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail without bail. Truesdale is scheduled to appear at the Town of New Albion Court on a later date.
January 2023 – Date Convicted: Jan. 24, 2023, Date of Birth: Oct. 13, 1979, Date Convicted: Until Jan. 24, 2038
December 2020 – Donna Truesdale and Steven Remington, both 41, were arrested and given appearance tickets. The Sheriff’s Office says Truesdale and Remington allegedly failed to provide proper food and water for the horses and neglected them.
