November 2025 – According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Desiree R. Teater (22) of Fonda, NY, has been arrested and charged with Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, a felony under New York State law. after she allegedly threw a dog from a porch onto the ground, causing the animal to suffer two fractures to one of its legs. Teater admitted to intentionally injuring the dog during an interview at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. She was charged and issued an appearance ticket for a later court date before being released.
