April 2026 – Police arrested Sarah A. Smith, age 55 and Loretta A. Bartlett, age 32 and charged them each with one count of Torture/Injure/Not feed Animals (Class A Misdemeanor) and one count of Neglect of Impounded Animals (Unclassified Misdemeanor). Smith and Bartlett were processed, issued appearance tickets and released.
