October 2024 – Tioga County judge throws out the conviction on the grounds that the prohibition on owning animals was illegal. A gay rodeo returns to Tioga County.
March 2024 – Romanik says he felt trapped into accepting a plea deal stipulating that he no longer raise livestock. However, he later renounced that decision. The case is now back in court and Romanik plans to take it to trial.
January 2024. Adam Romanik (44) and Patrick Champaign (44) were charged with 5 counts of Overdriving, Torturing and Injuring Animals, Failure to provide proper sustenance, and 22 counts of failure to provide proper food and drink to impounded animal after The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office and the ASPCA’s animal cruelty investigation rescued more than 100 farm animals, many showing signs of extreme neglect. At least one calf required urgent care while some dead animals were also found on the property. The property was managed by Adam Romanik, President of the Keystone State Gay Rodeo Association.
