Deandre J. Rogers, 30, pleaded guilty before State Supreme Court to one count of Attempted Aggravated Cruelty to Animals. Rogers faces a maximum of 364 days in jail when he is sentenced. He remains released on his own recognizance. It is requested that the Court impose a lifetime securing order that prohibits Rogers from owning, harboring, or having custody or control of any animals. A temporary securing order remains in effect.
July 2025 – Deandre Rogers, 30, of Buffalo, was arraigned on one count of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals and one count of Overdriving, Torturing and Injuring Animals; Failure to Provide Proper Sustenance. It is alleged that defendant intentionally hit a dog until it was hospitalized for skull fractures and other serious physical injuries. Rogers is scheduled to return for a felony hearing. He was released on his own recognizance as the charges are non-qualifying offenses for bail. As a condition of his release, it was requested that the Court impose a securing order that prohibits the defendant from owning, harboring, or having custody or control of any animals while the case is pending prosecution.
