August 2025 – Matthew Martone (51) was arrested and charged with 55 counts of overdriving, torturing, and injuring animals. Martone allegedly allowed his dogs to live in squalid conditions at his home. Investigators found the dogs covered in bodily waste and dealing with injuries during a welfare check at the residence on July 7.The home has been condemned, and the dogs have been brought to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter. Martone was released on an appearance ticket, and due back in Court at a later date.
