James Malloy (61) has been arrested and charged with cruelty to animals after allegedly shooting and killing a dog during an altercation between two animals. During the incident, authorities allege that one of the dogs’ owners pulled out a handgun and shot the other dog. The dog died from its injuries. Molloy was taken into custody and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. He was released on his own recognizance and will need to appear in court at a later date.
