June 2026 – Tabetha Jones (21) was charged with six counts of overdriving, torturing and injuring animals; failure to provide sustenance after receiving a request for a welfare check at her residence. Upon arrival, deputies determined that Jones allegedly neglected to give proper food and water to three dogs and three cats on the property. Six animals were seized and the house was condemned after being evaluated by the town’s code enforcement officer. Jones was released on her own recognizance after being charged. She is to appear at Court at a later date for further proceedings.
