November 2025 – Chemung County Sherrif’s Office Investigators arrested  Douglas Itjen, 69, and Darlene Itjen, 67, in an alleged case of torturing and injuring animals while failing to provide proper nourishment. A sheriff’s deputy reported that Tracey Itjen, 30, had allegedly been force-feeding a small dog coins and thumbtacks for months, dating back to June.
