January 2026 – Mohamed Charrad, a Greenpoint man, is facing multiple animal abuse charges after police entered his home and allegedly found horrid living conditions and 23 malnourished dogs. Video obtained by News 12 shows the backyard of the property where the animals appear to be fighting and even eating excrement. Charrad is due in Brooklyn criminal court at a later date.
