April 2026 – Patricia Durso (51) faces 3 counts of overdriving, torturing, and injuring charges after Saratoga County sheriff’s deputies found three roosters left without adequate shelter during the winter. Durso is accused of providing inadequate shelter to three roosters at an animal sanctuary in February. Two of the roosters were reportedly found dead with severe frostbite. Durso was released on her own recognizance pending further proceedings; charges are not qualifying offenses for the purpose of setting bail under New York state law.
