September 2017 – Albany Police were called to The Italian American Community Center on Washington Avenue Extension for reports of a puppy in a hot care covered in urine and hiding on the floor of the vehicle. The temperature outside the vehicle was 82 degrees but the temperature in the car was about 117 degrees. Reploeg was arrested and charged with one count of animal cruelty. He pleaded not guilty and was released on his own recognizance. The puppy was taken to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society and treated for heat exhaustion.
