January 2026 – Joseph Landry IV (40) was arrested and charged with two counts of overdriving, torturing, injuring animals, and failure to provide substance. Landry is accused of failing to provide sustenance to a Yorkshire terrier and a Maltese dog. Investigators said the Yorkshire terrier had facial hair sticking to its eyes, overgrown nails, sores on its back end and severe dental disease. The Maltese dog had severe crusting of the eyes and ocular discharge, fur matting around its eyes, a flea infestation and a dewclaw growing into the pad of its paw, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office said Landry was returned to the Warren County Jail, where he is being held on other charges.
