Ta’Von McCall (29) was sentenced to eight months in jail for his role in the severe abuse and death of a six-month-old Chihuahua. McCall and co-defendant Desirae Fantroy were accused of starving a dog, leaving her in a cage for extended periods, and allowing her to sit in her own waste. The dog was found in a plastic bag outside their home. Initially charged with felony aggravated cruelty to animals, McCall pleaded guilty to misdemeanor animal neglect. He was sentenced to eight months in jail and banned from owning, possessing, or living with animals for 15 years.McCall is listed on upstate New York animal abuse registry records following his 2020 conviction.
