July 2026 – Peter Philip LeBlanc, 59, was arrested after allegedly abusing a small dog. He is facing felony animal cruelty charges in Florida after being arrested at Sarasota International Airport. He was from Bedford, NY. Officers saw LeBlanc holding a small dog several feet off the ground by a choker leash which was fastened around the animal’s throat, according to a police report. The dog was whimpering and moaning, displaying signs of distress. LeBlanc apparently yelled at the dog and continued holding it off the ground before an officer restrained him, placing LeBlanc against the wall of the terminal building while others attempted to take the leash out of his hand.
