June 2026 – Aleksandre Jolia, 24,  faces animal cruelty charges for allegedly starving eight puppies, including two that died. According to police, a pet-sitter came to Jolia’s home and saw dirty and malnourished puppies, including one that was dead. The sitter notified police, who said the home reeked of urine and feces. They said one puppy was already dead when they arrived.
