Basic Information

June 2025 – Gary Vialet (50) was arrested for failing to provide food and water to three kitchens while keeping them locked inside a carrier. Police responded to a residence for complaints of three kittens locked inside a cat carrier on a back porch, while in direct sunlight during a heat advisory. Officers discovered the kittens upon arrival were locked inside the cat carrier, as temperatures were in the upper 90s. Vialet was charged with three counts of torturing or injuring animals. He was given appearance tickets. The kittens were removed by Albany Police’s Animal Control Unit and taken to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.
