May 2019 – Helen Mallazzo, 65, was charged with animal cruelty when a total of 10 dogs including 5 puppies were removed from unsanitary, deplorable conditions by the Suffolk County SPCA. One, a three week old puppy, was rushed to an emergency hospital in critical condition. The house was deemed uninhabitable and condemned.2015.

August 2015 – Helen Malazzo (61) faces charges of alleged animal abuse after officials found three horses living in deplorable conditions. Malazzo kept the horses at a boarding facility with no running water, according to the SPCA. The horses were seized and were placed in foster care. Malazzo was released and due back in court at a later date.
