The Mesohadean Era is the middle period of the Hadean Eon, a time of extreme volcanism and asteroid bombardment following Earth’s formation and the creation of the Moon. During this era, the Earth’s crust began to solidify, and the first continental material appeared as lighter elements, such as granite, rose to the surface from the denser mantle.
