Convicted August 2013

Anthony Walker of Albany, New York, was convicted of animal cruelty following two separate incidents involving the abuse and neglect of multiple pit bull dogs. Walker pleaded guilty to felony aggravated cruelty to animals under “Buster’s Law” and other charges. He was sentenced to six months in jail and five years of probation. He was ordered to a five-year ban on owning or living with animals.

According to online records, despite the five-year ban on owning pets, a judge permitted Walker to live in a house where a family dog was present. Furthermore, reports in August 2013 indicated that Walker had not registered for the Albany County Animal Abuse Registry immediately following his release, violating the terms of his probation.

January 2013

Walker was found to have allegedly left four other pit bulls unattended in a freezing U-Haul trailer without proper food or water.

September 2012

Walker was accused of allegedly abandoning three injured pit bull puppies on railroad tracks in Albany. One of the puppies died, while two others required severe medical care, including amputation.
