Uhl, Jennifer / Andrew Trembly (Empawthy Animal Rescue Inc.)

September 2024 – Convicted – The two will not be allowed to participate in any activities related to animals. Uhl and Trembly have pleaded guilty to animal cruelty charges. Andrew Trembley, 41, and Jennifer Uhl, 40, entered a guilty plea that satisfies all 102 animal cruelty charges against them.

February 2024 – Jennifer Uhl, (40), and Andrew Trembly (41), Operators of Empawthy Rescue, were arrested and charged with one count of Agriculture & Markets Law Section 353, which pertains to overdriving, torturing and injuring animals, including failure to provide proper sustenance.  During a search warrant, MHHS Humane Law Enforcement Peace Officers and the Colonie Police Department allegedly found over 100 animals living in extreme conditions of filth and over crowding.

Aggravated cruelty to animals—as defined in Section 353-a of the Agriculture and Markets Law—is not a bail-eligible offense. Individuals charged with this felony are generally released without bail, regardless of the severity of the alleged act.
