June 2023 – Sumner was Convicted

August 2022 – Elisa Sumner (27) was arrested and accused with killing a German Shepherd and with animal neglect by failing to provide sustenance to four other dogs.  She was also accused of keeping them in filthy conditions covered in urine, feces and garbage. She was arraigned and released to the supervision of probation, and was not allowed to own or take care of animals.
