April 2026 – Keaghn Picaro was sentenced to six months Jail time followed by five years of probation in Ontario County Court after pleading guilty to aggravated cruelty to animals, second-degree criminal contempt, and resisting arrest. Picaro is prohibited from owning or having contact with animals. He also waived his right to appeal. Picaro was accused of striking and seriously injuring a five-month-old kitten. The animal was later found to have a fractured hind leg and was taken into protective custody for emergency treatment.
