Morse, Tanja

June 2025 – Tanja Morse (71) was charged with 41 counts of torturing or injuring animals and for failure to provide sustenance after Albany County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant and allegedly found 22 dogs living in deplorable conditions. Police said the animals were surrounded by feces and urine, overgrown vegetation, and lack of food and water. Authorities also found 15 malnourished horses and one cow that were confined to unsanitary pens without access to food and water. A variety of birds, including pigeons, doves, and chickens, were also found living in unfit conditions, police said. Morse is to scheduled to appear at the Town of Westerlo Court at a later date.

2017 – Morse was charged with failing to provide sustenance, which resulted in the removal of dozens of dogs, chickens, goats, horses and a llama. She voluntarily surrendered 30 dogs in 2023 after police said they were seized under similar conditions.
