June 2025 – Malik Moore (46) was arrested after police officers responded to complaints of a dog owner picking up an adult female dog and slamming her onto the pavement. It was allegedly discovered that Moore had thrown the dog several times, causing her to sustain cuts and scabs on her head, and also injuring her leg. Moore was charged with one count of torturing or injuring animals and one count of owning or harboring an unlicensed dog.
