August 2026 / Plattsburgh, NY – Hilary Davis is back behind bars after violating the terms of a plea deal– twice, most recently when prosecutors say she rented a trailer in Essex County and kept eight dogs locked up for 12 hours a day.
March 2026 – Davis (59) was arrested in Plattsburgh for allegedly violating her probation for allegedly having 17 dogs in her care, a violation of her probation. She also allegedly crossed state lines.
January 2025 – Hillary Davis was sentenced to probation for five years after being convicted of abusing and neglecting 49 animals. According to the probation agreement, Davis cannot own pets aside from companion animals for 10 years. Davis faced dozens of charges but a plea agreement reduced them down to just five: four counts of animal cruelty torture and one count of forgery.
May 2024 – Hillary Davis, owner of Canine Gem, faces charges of animal abuse after animals were allegedly found to be severely underfed and completely covered in feces and had injuries to their paws. Authorities seized 49 dogs in February and charged her with multiple counts of animal abuse, failure to provide proper food and shelter, and forging documents related to the animals.
