Chapman, Jerome

March 2022 – Chapman, one of the first to enter a guilty plea, was sentenced to five years of probation. Chapman was ordered to pay $20,000 in restitution to the ASPCA, and is banned from owning or possessing an animal of any kind for the next 10 years.

August 2021 – Jerome Chapman, 39, of Bay Shore, is charged with two counts of Violation of the Prohibition of Animal Fighting, a felony; Overdriving, Torturing and Injuring Animals (Failure to Provide Proper Sustenance), a class A misdemeanor; and three counts of Possessing Animal Fighting Paraphernalia, a class B misdemeanor.
