September 2024 – Wayne Atkins, 55, of Troy pled guilty to violating section 353 of the Agriculture and Markets Law for allegedly hitting his two Pitbull’s with a stick, then throwing and dragging the dog across the yard by its collar to the front of the home. Atkins agreed to surrender the animals. He additionally agreed to never own another animal. Atkins will serve 60 days in jail, and pay a fine.
