Khadijah Hopkins, 26, of Troy, was sentenced to 8 years in State Prison to be followed by 5 years of Post Release Supervision before the Honorable Peter A. Lynch in Albany County Court for her role in burglarizing a home and setting a fire that killed a dog who was secured in a crate.

HOPKINS pleaded guilty to (1) Count of Burglary in the Second Degree, a Class C Felony, and (1) Count of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, a Class E Felony. HOPKINS was additionally sentenced today to a concurrent 2 years determinate
for the animal cruelty charge.
