

A common site at bird feeders throughout the whole year is the Northern Cardinal. The beautiful male with is noticeable shade of red, and brown females with there sharp crest and warm red accents is the reason why many open up a field guide.
Cardinals do not migrate in the winter and they don’t molt into a dull plumage. In summer, their sweet whistles are one of the first sounds of the morning.
