In 2022 Dave Chugg and Courtney LaBarbera recognized a need in the upstate NY area for quality schooling opportunities. With the well-known property on Roots Tavern Rd owned by David Chugg the decision was made to test pilot a few events in 2022. With overwhelming positive response from the equine community after just a few schooling events the decision was made to host a Derby style competition. The spectacular property was begging to be shared with horses and riders alike. September 2022 Fox Run Farm hosted their first eventing and jumper style Derby. Sporting some incredible ribbons and a few prizes donated by those who wanted to partner with us, the first Derby was a success!

We are excited to announce this year a full calendar of events ranging from schoolings to clinics and three Derbies! Our events are tailored toward the education of students and young horses. Our hope is to make this an affordable place to learn and gain mileage as a horse and rider partnership.
