Fawnridge is a full-care facility nestled quietly in the peaceful countryside of a rural village overlooking the Berkshires. Fawnridge is located in Rensselaer County, New York near the hamlet of East Nassau (20 miles east of the city of Albany). We are central to the region’s largest tracks – Belmont, Aqueduct, and Saratoga, as well as the Fingerlakes. Our location is also central to all stallion stations north and south of us.

Our primary function is caring for expectant mares, birthing their foals and rearing them to be ready for track training. We are very conscious of the special needs of these mares and their young. Each of them is taken care of with their individuality in mind.
