Feb 2024 – It is alleged that Animal Control Officers observed via video surveillance, Sherin Monachan (28), of Merrick, NY sitting in her vehicle with a dog in the front passenger seat. While parked in front of the business, the female was seen allegedly punching the dog approximately 36 times in various parts of its body, including the head, face, and stomach. The female was later located and arrested. Monachan was formally charged with Cruelty to Animals and was held on bond at the West Haven Police Department.
