October 24, 2021 – According to local newspapers, Marylyn Richards (58) was charged for neglecting of her female Maltese, which was found caked in muck and suffering from painful dental ailments. Suffolk County SPCA detectives arrested Marylyn Richards of West Babylon after an investigation revealed that her dog, Minni, was extremely matted and covered with feces, urine, dirt and debris throughout her fur. It was further mentioned that the dog was in substantial pain, had impaired vision and restriction of movement. The dog also had severe dental disease including infections and abscesses in its mouth. Richards was charged with a misdemeanor and is supposed to appear in First District Court in Central Islip.
