According to the New York Attorney General, Richard Doyle, who owned and operated three retail pet stores in Westchester and the Hudson Valley, has been permanently barred from working as a pet dealer and faces fines and penalties for repeated animal cruelty.
Richard Doyle, operated American Breeders, was arrested on a number of animal cruelty charges after performing operations on animals in his care. Court records state that Doyle maliciously and intentionally tortured and caused wounds. Doyle pleaded guilty to animal cruelty charges after accepting a deal from prosecutors that called for a five-year suspended prison sentence followed by three years of probation.
