February 2022 – Khadijah Davis (34) faces animal cruelty charges and is accused of abusing and abandoning a puppy in Troy. Police say a passerby found the dog in a box at a gas station earlier this month.His injuries included a fractured jaw, broken ribs, and his chest and legs were caked in drool and dried blood. His jowls were also swollen and there was a foul smell coming from his mouth.The puppy is now recovering with a foster family. Police say it will likely be months before he’s ready to be adopted.
