March 25, 2021, Rochester, N.Y. – Humane Law Enforcement Investigators charged Dinisha Chapple (26) with failure to provide sustenance after her dog Izzy was discovered badly matted causing a deep wound and infection. Her 8-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, was discovered by a contract electrician locked in the basement and suffering from injuries. The matted fur had cut a 1-inch gash into her leg. The injury was left untreated, which led to infection and hindered the dogs ability to walk. Chapple was ordered to appear in Rochester City Court to face charges of failure to provide sustenance. The misdemeanor offense could lead to up to a $1,000 fine and/or up to one year in prison.
