FEBRUARY 2018 – Rahiem Brown, was found guilty of torturing his dog, failing to provide sustenance for the animal and resisting arrest, was sentenced to 18 months in Sullivan County Jail. Brown’s then-2-year-old pit bull-Rottweiler mix had suffered burns on several parts of his body and was severely emaciated when good Samaritans found him. A jury convicted Brown, 41, on three counts of torturing, overdriving and injuring an animal. The jury also convicted him of resisting arrest.
