Brooks, Skyler
Mar 18, 2016 — Skyler Brooks, 20, was sentenced in Lockport Town Court to 60 days of incarceration, three years of probation, three months of electronic monitoring and 16 hours in the Sherrifs office work program for beating a cat, leaving it with broken teeth, dislocating its tail and fracturing its skull. Investigators also determined its toenails had been pulled out. Skyler Brooks was convicted of misdemeanor animal cruelty. If Brooks is found with any animals in the future he could face a year in prison or a $5,000 fine. Varis has recovered from her injuries and is now doing well.
